How do I update my BeoPlay A8 via my MAC/PC?
Follow the steps below to update software on BeoPlay A8 using your Mac/PC:
- Connect BeoPlay A8 to your router with an Ethernet cable.
- Make sure that your computer and BeoPlay A8 are in the same network.
- The network button must be solid white. If the network button is switched off, press it shortly and wait approx. 2 minutes until it becomes solid white.
- Find BeoPlay A8 on your Mac/PC:
With Apple Safari ...
> Open the Apple Safari browser > Click the bookmark icon on the left side of the browser > Click Bonjour and double-click on 'BeoPlay A8 xxxxxxxx'*.
If you do not have Safari installed, you can download it here: www.apple.com/safari. When Safari is installed, make sure that ‘Install Bonjour for Windows' is selected.

Important! You may not be able to use your workplace computer to update software on your BeoPlay A8, due to security restrictions, including firewall settings and assignment of IP addresses.
Note that not all routers allow for software update due to firewalls etc. The firewall must not block port 443 for HTTPS and port 123 for NTP. Contact your Internet service provider.
